Bonnie is a little Cafe in the city center of Arnhem. Stop by for good coffee, scrumptious pastry or to relax and unwind with a lovely vegan breakfast or lunch.
Ever since Bonnie opened in October of 2018 I wanted to take a visit. It took me over a year (unfortunately it is not what you call next door – I wish!) but when I first set foot inside I immediately felt home. It was around 12 0 ‘clock in the afternoon and the cafe had 2 nice spots left for us to choose from. The menu excited us. There are so many yummy breakfasts, lunch, and pastry options like an acai bowl, burger, waffles, or avocado toast. The pastry selection varies every day and if you ask me it is worth the detour.
Pastry worth the detour
We both went for the hot chai chocolate and took a chocolate chip cookie and a piece of carrot cake on the side. We saw the scrumptiously looking Snicker squares and the cheesecake after our order, so make sure you check the fridge too. But on the counter side, that would not have made it easier for us to choose.
Aside from the super cozy vibe, the (fizzy)drinks selection for us was a reason to come back after our shopping spree. Bundaberg ginger beer is my favorite and I am a big fan of kombucha! If you are a coffee lover and fancy some latte art you are in the right place too. At Bonnie, they use coffee beans from Rum Baba Coffee roasters. Or mix and match your herb and spice tea or warm up with a chai latte.
I first met Valesca 5 years ago when she enchanted me with her delicious vegan pumpkin cupcakes. Her starting Bonnie Cafe was a big inspiration to me and I love following every step of the way on Instagram. I admire her courage to follow her dreams and execute it so damn well. From the branding and the menu to the music and the toilets, everything made me happy. And I’ve got to be honest I had a little emotional moment within the smallest room of the café. If I ever open a cafe myself, this vibe is what I’d strive for.
Address Bonnie: Nieuwstad 2, 6811 BL Arnhem.

Is erg lekker. Het is een soort smoothy bowl op basis van een blauw kleurige bes uit Zuid-Amerika. Vaak wordt het opgemaakt met andere fruitsoorten of nootjes.
