A very special rite of passage today in the frosty, yet Sunny forest.

27 years around the sun. The starting point of a new year of life.

I walked alone but surrounded by dozens of red breasts. One of them approached me and locked eyes. And I even crossed path with a fox.

I came home in the open fields and sheltered at this magestic old oak tree.

A day to remember.

@silent__stories nodigde mij vanochtend uit om te komen spelen.

Met Natas is het altijd een feestje.

Ik mocht op sloffen. Er waren dekentjes, kaarsjes en kaarten. Thee, muziek en snacks.

Hele leuke oefeningen om zonder plan te maken en doen.

En een nieuwe kijk op bruin.🤎 Want wist je dat bruin ontstaat uit de 3 basiskleuren rood, geel en blauw?❤️💛💙

De volgende en laatste sessie gaan we weer bosbaden op mijn verjaardag precies over een maand.🌿🌲🌳

In oktober herontdekte ik en groeide mijn liefde voor pindakaas.

Ik heb vaak fases in wat ik graag eet. Bijvoorbeeld alles met gember of pistache of ineens vaak lunchen met Griekse Salade🥗. En nu was het pindakaas.🥜

Het liefst op goed zuurdesembrood met kaneel, banaan en honing.🍌🍯

Maar ook met kimchi en komkommer🥬🌶🥒. Of bij een croissant.🥐

(Ik dip mijn croissants hedendagen als saus. En ben gestopt met ze door te zagen. Want iedereen weet wat voor rotzooi dat geeft.)😌

Ik denk dat het nooit gaat vervelen. 🥜 Maargoed dat denk ik bij alle food-fases.😅

In welke food fase zit jij op dit moment? Wat eet jij vaak de laatste tijd? Ik ben super benieuwd. Misschien wordt ik geinspireerd voor mijn volgende eet-fase.😊

In Februari volgde ik mijn 1e bosbad bij @silent__stories.

Daar maakte ik mijn 1e natuur collage. Een winters tafereel.❄️

Vandaag mocht ik opnieuw. Natuurcollages zijn nog veel leuker dan van papier. 3 dimensionaal.

De materialen liggen voor het oprapen (Ik pluk niet zomaar). En als canvas zijn er zo veel structuren en oppervlakten om uit te kiezen.

Deze keer een herfst tafereel. Je werkt met de materialen die er zijn in dit seizoen.

Ik verzamel de materialen en maak de compositie intuïtief. Zonder vooraf bedacht plan. En kijk dan wat er ontstaat.

Een harmonie van kleuren, geuren en texturen.

Mijn verlangen voor de komende periode. 🧡

Sinds ik zoveel mooie, smakelijke verhalen mag verzamelen en delen met jullie, leek het me ook wel op zijn plek om mijn verhaal met jullie te delen. Of in ieder geval, een stukje daarvan.

De afgelopen 2 jaren, zijn hele bijzondere en avontuurlijke jaren geweest. Waarin ik zo ontzettend veel heb gedaan, dat het zelfs voor mensen dichtbij mij, misschien ook niet altijd helemaal duidelijk was, wat ik aan het doen was.

Hop is een van mijn aller-lievelingste geuren en smaken. Net als o.a. Jasmijn, Musk, Sandelhout & Pistache.

Gister keek ik de 3e aflevering van het nieuwe Chefs Table Pizza seizoen.🍕 met chef Ann Kim. Zij maakte pizza's met homemade Kimchi. "Dat wil ik binnenkort ook weer eens proeven."

And there she is; Kreeg ik vanmiddag dit prachtige potje homemade kimchi met krachtig geurende hop bel, van de Fermentatie Queen herself @heirloomferments.

De mooiste dingen in het leven komen vaak als een verrassing. Net als het prachtige diner "Ears of Earth" van vannavond van @mediamatic_, waar we deze week zomaar kaarten voor wonnen. Een prachtige tasting experience over de smaken van de aarde.

Een mooie herinnering om de controle dus wat vaker los te laten. ✨️

My home barista skills are improving. After being used to working with a professional espresso machine and steam pipe I had a little bit of trouble steaming up the milk as silky at home. 🏡

But as wise people always say: practice makes perfect. And after some more practice, my foam comes out waaay better now. Which also eases making latte art. 🎨

A little compilation of campfire stories 2022. Last year when I saw the amazing captures of @healthyhabits.byeveline at @campfirestoriesnl , I immediately bought a ticket for this year. I felt in all of my fires I should be there.

It was an amazing weekend at @yugenforest. Full of amazing wood fire cooked meals by @garo.feslian and his kitchen team! Seriously breakfast will never be the same from now on.

And yes even the toilet was cosy!

@bohiem.escape, @sami_umami, @uptherethelast, @jagerverzamelaar worked there magic on fire pit cooking, smoking, hunting and gathering.

Amazing line up and menus drawn by @leinkrijt.
With amongst them natural dyeing with @studiomarte, fermented hot sauce with @healthyhappy.biz, never forget the amazing workshop from @debasis_coaching, the icebath with @svenkimenai, forgotten grapes tasting with @baskorpel, breathtaking storytelling by @estherbrokke & @theworldwidetribe, sound healing with @gerlinehornsveld and "silently" dancing the night away with @secretsunriseamsterdam!
